Operator – Imposition & Layout (Printing)

Job Summary

The Operator – Imposition & Layout is responsible for preparing print layouts and imposition files for commercial and packaging printing projects using Kodak Prinergy software. The role ensures print-ready files are accurately prepared, quality standards are maintained, and production schedules are met efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare imposition layouts for commercial and packaging printing jobs using Kodak Prinergy software.

• Verify artwork, page sequencing, bleeds, crop marks, and print specifications before production.

• Create print-ready files in accordance with production and customer requirements.

• Coordinate with pre-press, design, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.

• Perform pre-flight checks and resolve layout-related issues.

• Optimize imposition layouts to reduce paper wastage and improve production efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and printing specifications.

• Troubleshoot imposition and pre-press issues during production.

• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

• Follow company quality, safety, and operational procedures.

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma in Printing Technology (Preferred).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Commercial Printing and Packaging.

• Maximum 3 years of relevant experience.

• Hands-on experience with Kodak Prinergy software.

• Good understanding of pre-press operations, imposition, and print production workflows.

• Basic knowledge of printing standards and quality control.
