Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable and safe operation of production machinery and factory electrical systems. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, utility equipment maintenance, electrical safety, and maintenance documentation.
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machines and minimize downtime.
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical panels, motors, drives, sensors, switches, control circuits, and safety devices.
Diagnose and rectify PLC, VFD, HMI, relay, contactor, timer, and sensor-related faults.
Maintain PLC backup programs and electrical documentation; coordinate with machine manufacturers when required.
Operate and maintain DG generators, air compressors, distribution panels, power systems, factory lighting, and earthing systems.
Execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
Maintain factory wiring, MCC/DB panels, lighting, sockets, and power distribution systems.
Install new electrical equipment and machine connections while ensuring electrical safety compliance.
Identify critical spare parts, maintain minimum stock levels, and raise material requisitions.
Follow LOTO procedures, participate in safety audits, and maintain electrical maintenance housekeeping.
Prepare breakdown reports, daily maintenance reports, machine history cards, and preventive maintenance records.
Mandatory Requirements
Education: BE / Diploma / ITI – Electrical.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry.
Strong hands-on experience in electrical machine maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting.
Practical knowledge of PLC, VFD, HMI, sensors, control circuits, and electrical panels.
Knowledge of industrial electrical distribution and utility equipment.
Understanding of electrical safety standards and LOTO procedures.
Ability to respond quickly to breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
