Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure guest rooms, public areas, and assigned facilities are maintained to the required cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating with other departments, conducting inspections, and ensuring efficient operations in a remote resort environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities and assigned team members.
Allocate duties, prepare work schedules, and monitor staff performance.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, staff areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards.
Ensure rooms are properly cleaned, serviced, and prepared for guest arrivals.
Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, arrivals, departures, and special guest requirements.
Monitor the availability and proper use of housekeeping supplies, linen, amenities, and cleaning materials.
Maintain appropriate stock levels and report shortages or damages.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and inventory of linen and housekeeping materials.
Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain service standards.
Handle guest requests and housekeeping-related complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, health, and safety procedures.
Monitor proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and report maintenance requirements.
Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, and daily operational reports.
Minimize wastage and ensure efficient use of housekeeping resources.
Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments to resolve operational issues.
Support the Housekeeping Manager/management team in maintaining overall resort standards.
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in a similar position.
Previous housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
Good knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, linen management, and room inspection procedures.
Good English communication skills.
Must be above 21 years of age.
Willingness to work in a remote and seasonal resort environment.
Updated CV and previous employer experience certificate required.
PCC is mandatory and must be obtained/verified before the interview.
Valid passport with minimum 7 months validity at the time of visa processing.
