Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Process/Chemical Design with 10+ years of project and process design experience, preferably within refinery and petrochemical projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in process engineering design, technical coordination, and proven knowledge of Saudi Aramco engineering standards, including SAEP, SAMS and SAES.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate process/chemical engineering design activities for refinery and petrochemical projects.
Develop, review, and approve process engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical documents.
Prepare and review process design documents, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment/process datasheets, material and energy balances, and design calculations.
Ensure process designs comply with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, applicable codes, and HSE requirements.
Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines for design integration.
Review vendor documents and provide technical inputs during procurement and project execution.
Identify and resolve process design issues, technical queries, and engineering deviations.
Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, HAZOP/HAZID and other process safety activities as required.
Monitor engineering deliverables, schedules, and technical requirements to support timely project completion.
Provide technical support to construction and commissioning teams when required.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 10+ years of relevant project/process engineering experience.
Strong process design engineering background.
Proven experience in refinery and petrochemical projects.
Recent experience working with Saudi Aramco standards is mandatory.
Strong working knowledge of SAEP, SAMS and SAES.
Experience in multidisciplinary engineering/project environments.
