Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer with 6+ years of software testing experience in the automotive domain, specializing in ECU testing, CAN/UDS protocols, test automation, and Vector toolchain. The candidate should be capable of independently handling unit, integration, and software testing activities, developing automation frameworks using CAPL and Python, and working within ASPICE and ISO 26262 environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for complex automotive ECUs.
Independently handle Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Software Testing requirements.
Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using CAPL and Python.
Perform UDS diagnostic testing, including diagnostic functions, fault memory verification, and ECU flashing validation.
Work extensively with CAN, LIN, and SPI communication protocols.
Use Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and CAN Disturbance Tools for testing and debugging.
Perform testing in SIL and HIL environments and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
Analyze test results, capture logs, identify defects, and prepare detailed defect reports.
Collaborate with Test Leads, System Engineers, and development teams to debug and resolve issues.
Ensure testing activities comply with ASPICE (SWE.4, SWE.5 & SWE.6) and ISO 26262 requirements.
Mandatory Requirements
6+ years of software testing experience, specifically in the Automotive/Embedded domain.
Strong hands-on experience in Unit Testing and Integration Testing.
Expert-level knowledge of CAN and UDS – Mandatory.
Strong practical experience with Vector CANoe and CANalyzer.
Hands-on expertise in CAPL and Python scripting for test automation.
Experience with SIL/HIL testing environments.
Ability to independently handle automotive communication protocols from day one.
Experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
Strong understanding of software testing processes and defect management.
