Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Quality Manager to lead and manage QA/QC activities across Oil & Gas construction projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, approved procedures, and applicable industry codes. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in welding, NDT, coating/painting, along with proven QA/QC management and leadership experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the overall QA/QC function for construction activities on Oil & Gas projects.
Develop, implement, and monitor project Quality Management Plans, ITPs, inspection procedures, and quality control processes.
Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, project quality requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
Supervise and coordinate QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors, and other quality personnel.
Monitor quality activities related to welding, NDT, coating/painting, fabrication, installation, and construction.
Review inspection reports, test results, quality records, and documentation for compliance.
Manage NCRs, corrective/preventive actions, observations, and quality improvement initiatives through timely closure.
Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Client, Consultant, and third-party inspection teams on quality-related matters.
Conduct quality audits, inspections, surveillance, and regular site quality reviews.
Ensure proper preparation and compilation of quality dossiers and project handover documentation.
Promote a strong quality culture and ensure compliance with project HSE and quality requirements.
Provide technical guidance and leadership in resolving quality issues and preventing recurrence.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
Minimum 20 years of total professional experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA/QC Manager or Quality Manager on Oil & Gas projects.
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is mandatory.
Strong technical background in welding, NDT, and coating/painting.
Proven experience managing QA/QC teams on major Oil & Gas construction projects.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspection processes, and project quality documentation.
Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and decision-making abilities.
Fluent English communication skills.
Strong personality with the ability to effectively manage teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
