Long-Term QA/QC Material Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Material Inspector with strong expertise in material inspection, welding, and NDT activities for project/site operations. The ideal candidate should have a Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering qualification, valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or AWS-CWI certification held for more than 5 years, and substantial QA/QC material inspection experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of incoming and project materials to verify compliance with approved specifications, drawings, standards, and purchase requirements.

• Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), inspection reports, certificates, and relevant quality documentation.

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of materials and fabricated components.

• Verify material identification, traceability, storage, preservation, and handling requirements.

• Coordinate and witness applicable NDT activities and review NDT reports and results.

• Inspect welding-related activities and verify compliance with approved procedures and applicable standards.

• Raise and follow up on NCRs, inspection observations, and corrective actions.

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, QA/QC teams, and client representatives on material inspection requirements.

• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, checklists, and quality documentation.

• Ensure all inspection activities comply with project quality requirements and applicable international standards.

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.

• Degree Holders: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

• Diploma Holders: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience.

• Minimum 5 years of specific experience as a QA/QC Inspector in Material Inspection.

• Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector OR AWS-CWI certification – Mandatory.

• Welding Inspector certification must have been held for more than 5 years.

• NDT Level II – Mandatory.

• Age preferably 30–55 years.

• Strong experience in material inspection, quality control, documentation, and traceability.
