Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Electrical Inspector to oversee the inspection and quality control of electrical installation works for the Oceanarium Project. The successful candidate will ensure all electrical systems are installed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, international standards, and client quality requirements while ensuring compliance with HSE regulations throughout project execution.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of electrical installation works, including power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, control panels, lighting, cable trays, conduits, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
Verify construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and applicable electrical codes and standards.
Inspect cable installation, termination, testing, and electrical equipment installation to ensure quality compliance.
Witness insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, functional testing, energization, and commissioning activities.
Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material inspection requests, and quality documentation.
Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and maintain quality records.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers, and client representatives to resolve quality and technical issues.
Ensure all inspection activities comply with project quality standards, client requirements, and HSE regulations.
Support project handover by verifying testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in electrical inspection for large-scale building, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including LV/MV power distribution, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, lighting, grounding, and electrical protection systems.
Experience in electrical inspection, testing, commissioning, and QA/QC procedures.
Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable project specifications.
Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.
