Solid Work Designer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SolidWorks Designer to develop 3D models, 2D engineering drawings, sheet metal designs, and manufacturing drawings for stainless-steel hot boxes, cookware, kitchen equipment, and related products. The role focuses on design accuracy, production feasibility, cost optimization, and coordination with manufacturing teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.

• Design stainless-steel products, cookware, hot boxes, and kitchen equipment.

• Develop sheet metal designs, flat patterns, bend details, and manufacturing-ready drawings.

• Specify dimensions, tolerances, materials, and surface finishes.

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and exploded views.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Tool Room teams to resolve design issues.

• Maintain drawing revisions, design records, and technical documentation.

• Support prototypes, product testing, production trials, and new product development.

• Identify design errors and suggest improvements to reduce material wastage and production costs.

• Incorporate customer feedback and engineering changes while meeting quality and delivery timelines.

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.

• 2–5 years of experience in SolidWorks design

• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modelling, 2D drafting, assemblies, and sheet metal design.

• Knowledge of flat pattern development, bend details, engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances.

• Understanding of stainless-steel grades, sheet thickness, and material specifications.

• Ability to prepare BOMs and manufacturing drawings.

• Knowledge of fabrication processes such as cutting, punching, bending, welding, grinding, and polishing.

• Manufacturing or fabrication industry experience is preferred.
