Job Summary
The Engineer – Tool Room is responsible for supporting the maintenance, development, modification, and troubleshooting of tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures to ensure uninterrupted production and product quality. The role requires hands-on experience in tool room operations, injection molds, and precision tooling activities within a manufacturing environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures to support production requirements.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of injection molds and tooling equipment.
Support tool trials, mold trials, and production startup activities.
Inspect tooling components and ensure adherence to dimensional and quality requirements.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve tooling-related issues.
Assist in tool modifications, improvements, and engineering change implementation.
Monitor tool performance and recommend actions to improve tool life and productivity.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and maintenance of tooling assets.
Maintain tooling records, maintenance logs, and related documentation.
Adhere to safety standards and best practices within the tool room.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling efficiency and reduce downtime.
Mandatory Requirements
Diploma in Tool & Die Making / Apprenticeship in Tool & Die Making or Tool & Die certification from NTTF.
Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar industry.
Hands-on experience with Jigs & Fixtures, Tools, Dies & Moulds, and Injection Moulds.
Knowledge of tool maintenance, mold assembly, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tooling specifications.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
