Civil Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to oversee inspection and quality control activities for civil and construction works. The role will ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), applicable standards, and client quality requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of civil construction activities including earthworks, excavation, foundations, concrete, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, structural works, and finishing works.

• Verify construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.

• Inspect materials and workmanship and verify compliance with approved material specifications.

• Witness concrete pouring, slump tests, cube tests, compaction tests, and other required quality tests.

• Review material certificates, test reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.

• Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities and monitor corrective actions.

• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, contractors, consultants, surveyors, and client representatives.

• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, punch lists, and maintain quality records.

• Support project completion, punch-list clearance, and handover activities.

• Ensure all inspection activities comply with project quality procedures and HSE requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.

• Relevant experience in civil inspection within Oil & Gas, industrial, infrastructure, or major construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, testing, and inspection procedures.

• Ability to interpret civil/structural drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.

• Knowledge of applicable ASTM, ACI, BS/EN, and project-specific standards.

• Experience with QA/QC procedures, material inspection, testing, NCR management, and quality documentation.

• Good English communication, technical reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
