Field Quality Engineer - OHP

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for the Opera House Project. The successful candidate will ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, international standards, and client quality requirements while supporting inspection, documentation, audits, and continuous quality improvement throughout project execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor project Quality Management System (QMS) and QA/QC procedures.

• Conduct inspections of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, material submittals, and quality documentation.

• Coordinate inspections with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.

• Identify quality issues, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and monitor corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test results, and project documentation.

• Participate in internal and external quality audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and HSE requirements.

• Provide technical guidance to site teams on quality-related matters and support project handover documentation.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC or quality engineering for large-scale building or infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), inspection procedures, and construction quality standards.

• Experience in preparing and reviewing ITPs, method statements, material inspections, and quality documentation.

• Familiarity with international construction codes and standards applicable to civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Excellent communication, reporting, analytical, and coordination skills.

• GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.
