Job Summary
We are looking for a Materials Engineer with experience in materials and supplier coordination, particularly in mold and tooling management. The role will focus on preventing mold breakdowns, ensuring timely tool-life follow-up, coordinating new mold trials, and supporting new project DR and part DR activities at supplier locations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Drive initiatives to achieve zero mold breakdown accidents and ensure mold availability for production.
Follow up on new project mold DR and part DR activities to ensure timely completion and avoid recurrence of past vehicle/project issues.
Monitor and follow up on tool/mold life and coordinate preventive actions before tool-life expiry.
Coordinate new mold trials at supplier locations and ensure timely completion.
Support process fixing and stabilization at supplier end during new mold trials.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve mold/tooling-related issues.
Track project milestones, trial status, tool readiness, and supplier action items.
Identify potential tooling issues and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain relevant records, follow-up trackers, and reports related to molds, tools, trials, and supplier activities.
Mandatory Requirements
B.Tech in EEE/ECE or B.E.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Materials Management.
Experience in mold/tool management and supplier coordination.
Experience in following up on tool life, new mold trials, and supplier-side process fixing.
Ability to coordinate new project mold DR and part DR activities.
Strong follow-up, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
