Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems, equipment, and utilities within the manufacturing facility. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults to minimize production downtime.
Monitor and maintain electrical panels, motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
Ensure proper functioning of plant utilities and electrical infrastructure.
Plan and execute maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery.
Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Maintain maintenance records, reports, and equipment history.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical regulations, and company policies.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment.
Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability, efficiency, and maintenance practices.
Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Mandatory Requirements
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).
Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial electrical systems.
Knowledge of electrical drawings, control circuits, and preventive maintenance practices.
Familiarity with safety standards and electrical maintenance procedures.
