Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting sampling, testing, and analysis of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role supports quality assurance by maintaining accurate test records, calibrating laboratory equipment, investigating non-conformities, and assisting production teams in delivering quality products.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct sampling, testing, and analysis of raw materials and finished products in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
Receive, inspect, and ensure proper storage and allocation of raw materials.
Perform laboratory tests in compliance with British Standards (BS), ASTM standards, and company quality procedures.
Report non-conforming materials and test results to the Technical & Delivery team for corrective action.
Assist in investigating customer complaints and product quality issues.
Perform routine inspections, trial mixes, and laboratory testing as instructed.
Maintain laboratory equipment through scheduled calibration and ensure calibration certificates are up to date.
Prepare and maintain laboratory reports, test records, and quality documentation.
Follow all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and laboratory procedures.
Support production teams by providing technical guidance on material quality and testing requirements.
Mandatory Requirements
Graduate preferred; minimum High School qualification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in material testing, concrete block testing, or laboratory analysis.
Knowledge of BS and ASTM standards related to concrete and construction materials.
Experience in laboratory equipment calibration and quality documentation.
Ability to investigate non-conforming products and identify root causes.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
