Restaurant Waiter / Runner

Job Summary

The Waiter/Runner will support restaurant and food service operations by providing efficient service to guests. The role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, assisting service staff, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive dining experience in accordance with hospitality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist them with seating and basic menu inquiries.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen.

• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct presentation and order accuracy.

• Assist waiters and service staff in delivering orders and clearing tables.

• Ensure tables, service stations, and dining areas remain clean and organized.

• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery.

• Respond to guest requests professionally and report complaints to the supervisor.

• Refill water, replenish table settings, and maintain service supplies.

• Follow food hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.

• Support restaurant setup, closing activities, and other service duties as required.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Waiter, Runner, Food Server or in a similar hospitality role.

• Basic knowledge of restaurant service procedures and food handling.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Customer-focused attitude and professional appearance.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding service duties.

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

• Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
