Senior Engineer - Materials

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Materials Engineer to manage material availability, supplier development, supply continuity, and cost optimization. The role will focus on expanding the supplier base, resolving supplier issues, improving supplier capabilities, reducing material costs, and managing raw material (RM) and import supply challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the supplier base to support capacity enhancement and business requirements.

• Manage supplier performance, resolve supply-related issues, and support supplier level-up/development initiatives.

• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of raw materials, child parts, and consumables.

• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across RM, child parts, and consumables.

• Monitor and resolve raw material supply issues to avoid production disruptions.

• Track and manage import shipments and transit-related issues to ensure continuity of supply.

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to address shortages, delays, quality concerns, and capacity constraints.

• Evaluate supplier capabilities and support development of alternate/new suppliers where required.

• Monitor material availability and proactively identify potential supply risks.

• Prepare supplier/material status reports and provide updates to management.

Mandatory Requirements

• B.Tech in EEE/ECE or B.E.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Materials Management.

• Experience in supplier management and supplier development.

• Strong understanding of material supply planning and supplier capacity enhancement.

• Experience handling RM, child parts, and consumables.

• Experience in resolving raw material supply and import transit issues.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
