Job Summary
The Rotating Equipment Inspector (QM) is responsible for the inspection, testing, and quality assurance of rotating machinery including pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gears, and generators. The role ensures all rotating equipment meets project specifications, international standards, and Saudi Aramco requirements. The inspector conducts hands-on inspections, evaluates FAT activities, and identifies issues related to vibration, dynamics, and high-temperature performance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Inspect rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, generators, motors, and gear systems.
Monitor and assess Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), including dynamic, vibration, and performance-related evaluations.
Conduct detailed inspections during fabrication, assembly, installation, and pre-commissioning stages.
Verify compliance with relevant international codes, standards, and Saudi Aramco specifications.
Review equipment documentation, material certificates, mechanical records, and QA/QC documentation.
Identify nonconformities, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Inspect alignment, balancing, lubrication, and operational testing of rotating machinery.
Prepare accurate inspection reports and ensure complete documentation per project requirements.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and project teams for resolving technical concerns.
Ensure all inspection activities meet quality, safety, and project compliance standards.
Mandatory Requirements
B.E/B.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline with minimum 6 years of inspection experience or 3-year Diploma with minimum 8 years of relevant inspection experience.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on inspection experience in rotating machinery (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, generators, gears, etc.).
Strong familiarity with international codes, industry standards, and Saudi Aramco Specifications & Standards.
Saudi Aramco–approved inspector OR must have passed Saudi Aramco CBT Exam and Interview.
Must hold internationally recognized certifications:
ASNT Level II in MT, PT, UT, VT, RTFI
AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 Welding Inspector certification
API SIRE (preferred / may be qualified)
Experience in evaluating dynamic, vibration-related, and high-temperature equipment performance.
Proficiency in inspection tools, vibration measurement methods, and FAT procedures.
