Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector – Valves to perform inspection and quality control activities for valve manufacturing and fabrication. The role will ensure valves comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable industry standards, fabrication requirements, and ISO 9001 quality requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct vendor inspections of valves throughout manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and testing stages.
Verify materials, dimensions, workmanship, fabrication, assembly, and testing against approved drawings and specifications.
Review engineering drawings, inspection procedures, ITPs, specifications, and applicable standards.
Verify compliance with applicable API, ASME, MSS, and project requirements.
Perform inspections independently with minimal supervision and document findings accurately.
Identify, report, and follow up on quality deviations and non-conformities.
Review inspection and test records and ensure required documentation is complete.
Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, QA/QC teams, and project stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports and supporting quality documentation.
Mandatory Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of inspection experience in manufacturing plants, including at least 2 years in the relevant valve commodity/process.
Good command of English.
Knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and fabrication methods.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
Ability to perform inspections with minimal supervision.
Must meet additional requirements applicable to the specific inspection discipline.
QM-07 / QM-03: Successful completion of Valves CBT and Interview.
A valid API SIFE certificate may waive the CBT requirement.
