Assistant Manager Injection Molding - Production

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Production is responsible for managing injection molding operations to achieve production targets with optimal quality, cost, and efficiency. The role focuses on manpower planning, process optimization, rejection and PPM reduction, KPI achievement, and continuous improvement while ensuring smooth shop-floor operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day injection molding production operations to meet output and delivery targets

• Plan and allocate manpower; ensure training, skill development, and absenteeism control

• Monitor line inventory and ensure production against defined targets

• Plan production activities to achieve targets within stipulated timelines

• Analyze and reduce rejection, rework, and quality issues through root cause analysis

• Drive PPM reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects

• Ensure 100% achievement of departmental KPIs

• Identify operator difficulties, discuss with superiors, and implement process simplification

• Use DMAIC methodology for structured problem-solving and process improvement

Mandatory Requirements

• B. Tech / Diploma in Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Injection Molding

• Prior experience in automobile lighting manufacturing is mandatory

• Strong exposure to shop-floor production management and quality systems
