Team Leader – Production (Printing)

Job Summary

The Team Leader – Production will be responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day production operations within the printing, packaging, or manufacturing environment. The role involves ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved. The candidate will lead production supervisors, foremen, operators, and assistants while coordinating production planning, machine utilization, manpower deployment, and process improvements. The position requires strong technical knowledge in printing technologies, production workflow management, quality control, and operational excellence initiatives to support continuous improvement and maximize factory productivity.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities across Press, Binding, Finishing, and related production departments

• Ensure production schedules are executed efficiently while meeting quality and delivery targets

• Monitor machine utilization, production output, workflow efficiency, and production timelines

• Ensure accurate job setup and proper execution of make-ready processes

• Coordinate production planning activities to optimize manpower and machine allocation

• Maintain production efficiency while minimizing downtime and operational delays

• Ensure compliance with production procedures, operational standards, and company policies

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Printing and Packaging Technology preferred

• Minimum 8 – 12 years of total production experience within printing, packaging, or manufacturing industries

• Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role such as Foreman, Senior Operator, or Production Supervisor

• Strong understanding of printing technologies including Sheetfed, Web, Perfecting, IML, and Digital Printing

• Expertise in color management, print registration, ink density control, and print quality standards

• Experience managing complex make-ready processes and accurate production setup

• Strong knowledge of production workflow management and manufacturing operations

• Ability to supervise and coordinate multi-skilled production teams

• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities

• Good communication and reporting skills

• Knowledge of production safety standards, quality systems, and operational excellence practices
